If you are simply looking to fill space in the background of your film, licensed music may be an options. Film scoring is a premium service for films looking to align to a more complete, professional, and appealing film for festivals and distribution.
Our film composing approach aims to more deeply and uniquely tell the story on screen and create a musical world that only exists through the story being told, compared to licensed or library music that is easily obtainable and usable by anyone anywhere.

my musician friends said that they can write music for my film, isn’t that the same thing?
We consider ourselves filmmakers first and musicians second.
Film scoring is a specialist role in the filmmaking industry - not a niche of musicians or music producers in the music industry. You wouldn't necessarily hire a gaffer to be your cinematographer, and vice versa, unless there was a strong case or existing material showcasing each talent.
what if I don’t understand anything about music?
That is entirely fine! We focus our conversations on filmmaking and storytelling language, not musical jargon that a filmmaker doesn’t need to know. It is our job as composers to make that translation adequate for you.
how much time will this take?
The main factor into the length of the scoring process is the total run time of your film. A longer film naturally may call for more score, which will increase the time for composition, revisions, recording, and preparation for delivery.
Sometimes we have to work in averages, and an average feature length film score may take up to 5 - 8 weeks from initial sketching and sound palette design to recording and delivery.
is a film score within my budget?
Every film and film score is unique, and while we are a premium service, our pricing and rates are adjusted accordingly to your film. We are confident in making sure that we are able to align on a fair rate for all parties based on the potential needs of the film score.
